  • HBO’s smash hit “Game of Thrones” tends to leave fans restless year in and year out.

So, it should come as no surprise that Season 7 will leave you wondering what on Earth is going on.

Maisie Williams, who plays beloved Arya Stark, told Time Out there will be a “huge cliffhanger,” among other surprises.

“We’ve come to the climax and it’s rolling down to the end. I really felt like at the end of last season, everything was set up for how it was going to end,” Williams said. “Every character came to a little junction in their lives, and now we’re all going to crash down together to however this show ends.”

Before reaching the bitter conclusion, however, a couple of loose ends need to be tied up.

Where the show rests now, there are far too many open-ended elements — all related to a tireless “game” over the coveted Iron Throne.

The Emmy Award-winning show has broadcast enough political posturing and backstabbing over the previous seasons to leave fans with their jaws on the floor.

It is an endless and ever-intensifying “chess match” dreamt up by the minds of author George R.R. Martin and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Further, it has been reported that there are only 13 episodes remaining. Let’s see what ambiguous elements need to be settled:

Where is Arya headed? What is Cersei’s plight after exploding the Great Sept of Baelor?

Sansa Stark doesn’t appear ready to blindly follow Jon Snow. That said, will she rally behind Petyr Baelish and the Knights of the Vale? Or stick with the King in the North?

Daenerys

Lastly, where is Daenerys headed to? We last saw her, triumphant, on the sea headed for an unknown destination. Perhaps King’s Landing? Is the “Star-garyen” theory going to play out (keep in mind Martin’s book title “A Song of Ice and Fire,” and the fact that Snow and Targaryen are, well, related).
