Hacked by apps
Tristan Harris, Google’s former product manager, said that social media-giants have an ability to hack humans’ brains. This ‘hacking’ is done to get people addicted to phone. During his interview he said there are some techniques of popular apps that can the person using the app hooked to the phone for as long as possible. The major concern is that these apps will destroy children’ ability to concentrate on other stuff.
Young children are the leading consumers of these technologies. However, the excessive use of these technologies can cause some serious issues like distraction, expectation of instant gratification, narcissism and depression. Therefore, it is better to get well versed about the negative effects of the phones before allowing technologies to dominate our lives.
