Ever since Kate Middleton became engaged to Prince William over six years ago, the eyes of the world have been on the future Queen’s fashion choices.
This weekend, the Duke and Duchess were in Paris on a visit billed as a ‘charm offensive’ ahead of the beginning of Brexit negotiations. For the final engagement- watching Wales vs France in the Six Nations rugby- of the trip, Kate re-wore a bright red coat by Carolina Herrera which she was first seen in during last autumn’s visit to Canada. It was an appropriate choice given red is the traditional colour of Wales.
It’s certainly true that the Duchess of Cambridge’s look has come far since the sapphire Issa dress she wore to announce her engagement. From the Jenny Packham dresses she wore to leave hospital with her babies to the elegant day and night looks by designers from Alexander McQueen to Alice Temperley and Emilia Wickstead, the Duchess has been loyal to British designers.
Kate also mixes in high street labels like Zara and Topshop with international names like Dolce and Gabbana and Kate Spade.
