The Project’s Gorgi Coghlan brought a lot of skirt to the red carpet. Some may say too much? It gave the impression she was drowning in black quicksand.
Gorgi Coghlan posted this picture to Twitter with the caption “Ready to roll! Cannot thank you enough @officialconilio for my beautiful gown.”Source:Twitter
As Hamish and Andy said about Coghlan’s dress: “The red carpet is under that but no-one’s seen it for half an hour.”
A real contender for best dressed this year were the microphones used by Channel Nine. That is a lot of bling for an inanimate object. They’re almost showing Lisa Wilkinson up.

Tina Arena also went for a chic black gown.

We’re not going to lie: we were a little disappointed when the pictures of Susie Elelman landed. She’s usually good for asuper risque neckline and yes, this top is sheer as hell, but it’s a decidedly more demure look than she has sported in previous years. Hopefully she’ll whip that jacket off later in the evening and her back will be adorned with flashing lights or something.

Bec Judd didn’t disappoint, in her gorgeous J’Aton couture gown. But let’s face it, it helps that Bec Judd is super, super hot. If anyone else tried to wear that they could be in danger of looking like a pink doily that was used to mop up a tomato sauce spill.

Sonia Kruger showed that she still has that banging Tina Sparkle body with a dress that showed off just-a-bit-of-leg-and-just-a-bit-of-cleavage. We’re also a fan of the cape.

Carrie Bickmore is a real contender for best in show this year. The colour suits her brunette locks and the cut is super flattering. We also love those earings, which remind us a bit of collectable vintage spoons.

There’s no doubt that the burgundy/blush hues were big this year. Dannii Minogue also went for that colour palette with a shimmery off the shoulder number:
Kerri-Anne Kennerley thumbed her nose at the “less is more” adage and just went for more more more.

Orange is the New Black alumni Yael Stone went for something a little more left of centre with her dress selection.

Claudia Karvan also had a bit of fun with her flighty Romance was Born outfit.

Rebecca Gibney looked elegant in all-black, and we love the fact that she didn’t bother to tidy her hotel room before having this photo taken. Respect.

Zoe Foster Blake clothed her growing baby bump in a Con Ilio custom gown.

She captioned the pic below “Man, the Logies are a piece of p*ss. I basically wake up, chuck on whatever is clean and some BB cream and go.”
She then went on to give a shout out to her styling team.
No one is entirely sure what is happening here, but it gets two enthusiastic thumbs up from us.
We gotta say we didn’t love Lauren Phillips’ dress. The monstrous pussy bow combined with the floral, it’s all just a bit toooooo floaty feminine. It’s something your grandma would approve of … and nobody wants that.
Also, she’s in danger of going full Angelina Jolie with that left leg.

Another victim of the pussy bow was Jodi Gordon.
Also subscribing to the sheer top with embellishment look was Home & Away’sPenny McNamee, who lived out all her fairy princess fantasies:

Amber Sherlock, the newsreader who insisted her colleague put on a jacket so they weren’t all wearing white on camera, wore white. See guys? She gets it! She’s totally in on the joke.

The Desperate Housewives didn’t disappoint, with more cleavage and bling and bouffant hairdos than a night out in Vegas.

Anna Heinrich looked super glam in her Steven Khali gown. She accessorised, as ever, with Tim Robards and a twee kick of her leg.

Sylvia Jeffreys also looked smoking hot. She gets extra points for that voluminous hair.

Jessica Mauboy seems to have a bit of trouble nailing her red carpet style and the Logies this year were no exception. But at least if she drops some canape, there’s something in place to catch it. She gets points for practicality.

Sophie Monk looked as if she had dislocated her neck on the red carpet. While the pose is a bit awkward, the dress actually suits her well.

A contender for the “very photographable but also super impractical” award goes to Melina Vidler. The Jason Grech gown is absolutely gorgeous, but best of luck when you have to go to the bathroom.
A surprise highlight was Alex Nation, who wore a colour that can only be described as grape Hubba Bubba.

Love Child actor Harriet Dyer looked like a character out of Westworld. She wouldn’t look out of place in a saloon serving bourbon, straight up.

Also from the wild west school is Livinia Nixon …

Olympia Valance looked as if she was wearing something that wouldn’t be out of place on Miss World (Spain).

We also salute Denise Drysdale, who has been to this rodeo plenty of times before and has gone “screw it, I’m wearing pants”. Onya, Ding-Dong.

Patti Newton had to attend the Logies without husband Bert, who is battling pneumonia. So she wore him on her back. Naturally.
Special shout out to Lisa Wilkinson, who posted this excellent before photo, with the caption “BEFORE today’s battalion of brilliant @channel9 makeup and hair and fashion stylists started on me!”
This pic that Larry Emdur posted is also pleasing:
